Who are we?

Raleigh Street Christian Centre is part of a network of about 240 churches scattered throughout NZ (known as Open Brethren). Each church is totally independent in the way it is run, although there is a considerable amount of networking.

Our church holds strongly to the teachings which have been widely accepted by believers over the centuries as forming “orthodox” (or “true”) Christian belief. These are outlined in our Statement of Faith.

The thing that makes our church different from most other churches is that the leadership is by way of a group of “Elders”. None of these Elders is more important than any other, and all of us together come equally under the leadership of Christ.
